Zebra blinds (also called dual or combi shades) layer alternating sheer and solid fabric bands. Line the bands up for a clear view and daylight, or offset them for privacy — all without raising the blind.
The sheer bands soften and diffuse incoming light while keeping your outward view; the solid bands block it for privacy and glare control. A gentle pull slides the layers past each other, so you set the exact balance you want at any time of day.

Zebra Blinds — questions
Can zebra blinds block out all light?
They significantly reduce light and there are near-blackout fabrics, but for a true blackout in a bedroom or nursery we'd pair or recommend dedicated blackout blinds.
Are zebra blinds good for privacy at night?
With the solid bands aligned they give full daytime and evening privacy. Because the sheer sections still let some light through, rooms with lights on are more visible than with a blackout blind.
Do they come motorized?
Yes — rechargeable or hardwired motors, controllable by remote, app or voice assistant.
